Beach Horse Riding

One of the ultimate riding experiences must surely be galloping at full speed along a wide open sandy beach. There aren’t too many places in the UK where you can do this but we’ve found the perfect beach with a great riding centre right next to it. The ride starts off by crossing a shallow river and then follows sand dunes down to the beach. At this point the experienced riders can take off for a thundering gallop while the less experienced riders can still enjoy a trot or canter. The beach is over half a mile long and has very few people on it (most people stay on the other side of the river). After the excitement of the gallop you will follow another winding trail through the dunes back to the riding centre.

Wear riding boots or sturdy footwear with a heel
Wear long trousers and comfortable clothing that’s appropriate for the time of year.
Riding hats will be provided but feel free to bring your own.
Your instructor will assess your ability before deciding on the nature of your ride

I wanted to let you know what a great time we had. Paintballing went down very well with lots of bruises to show for it. Boys had a beano although by the end the concensus was once every ten years is ample Ha. Evening went better than I could have imagined. Think the hotel was a waste of money purely because they weren't in it for more than 3 hours. For 6.30 till 10 I could have stuck em on the beach. Apparently the girls in Wiggle were perfect and one of the lads fell "in love"...All in all we had a 21st weekend to remember. Thank you for all your help.
