This invigorating and challenging activity involves working your way up a gorge against the flow of a tumbling mountain river. You will traverse along rock faces, hop across boulders, climb up waterfalls, crawl through wormholes, slide down zip wires and plunge from up to 25 feet into deep pools of water.

Gorge walking is all about overcoming challenges and working as a team to get past each obstacle that you are confronted with. Every obstacle can be by-passed if you really don’t fancy it and apart from the optional cliff jumps at the end of the walk the water rarely gets above waist height so you don’t even need to be strong swimmer. This activity is suitable for people of all ages and levels of fitness.

Extra Information

  • Wear boots or trainers and warm sensible clothing
  • Do not wear jeans as these are very uncomfortable when wet
  • You will get wet so bring a complete change of clothing and a towel
  • All equipment is provided
  • This activity is also suitable for non-swimmers
  • The format may vary at different Gorge Walking centres
