Every year we hear about travel companies going bust and people either losing all of their money or being stranded. In the Hen and Stag market at least one major booking agent has gone bust every year for the last 4 years. At Escape your money is 100% protected by an indemnity insurance provided by International Passenger Protection (IPP).
Don't be shy to ask a booking agent how your money will be protected. Some of them offer no protection, which is illegal and if they go bust you will lose your money. Others run client accounts where they are not supposed to touch your money until after you have travelled, however this is open to abuse and some agencies will try to reassure you with an ATOL licence, however these only offer financial protection for flight bookings.
In accordance with "The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations1992" all passengers booking with Escape Ltd are fully protected for the initial deposit and subsequently the balance of all monies paid to us, including repatriation if required, arising from cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of Escape Ltd.
There is no requirement for Financial Protection of day trips, and none is provided. This insurance is only valid for packages booked that DO NOT include flights.
