Nottingham Falconry
Once the sport of kings you can now experience the thrill of Falconry during your stag weekend. You will enjoy a hands-on experience and actually handle and fly magnificent birds such as owls, hawks, kestrels and falcons. You will be instructed by a professional falconer who will provide expert tuition and share his in depth knowledge of the birds with you.
The session begins with a short introduction to the ancient art of falconry and some of the birds of prey. Then it's onto the main event...your chance to handle and fly up to five different species. You'll be provided with thick leather gauntlets to protect your hands from their razor sharp talons and beaks and the falconer will show you how to call the birds. Then it's time to marvel at their speed and grace and brace yourself for a precision landing on your outstretched arm.
